Child/Youth Counselling & Parent/Caregiver Support

Child & Youth Counselling

Our trained counsellors provide free, confidential, community-based mental-health counselling for children, youth and whole families. We use a strengths-based and non-judgmental approach to address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, school challenges, behaviour issues, and drug and alcohol use. We can help with parenting strategies and help families when children struggle with small or big life transitions, from school challenges to separation, divorce and co-parenting.

We can help you connect with more specialized services in the Comox Valley and beyond if needed.

To connect with our Child and Youth Counsellors, please leave a message at our confidential voicemail at (250) 898-0247 or email Mike or email Stacey.

We do not provide crisis services. If you are in crisis and need to talk to someone immediately, please call the Vancouver Island Crisis Line at 1 (888) 494‑3888 (available 24/7).

Parent/Caregiver Groups

We facilitate engaging educational groups for parents and caregivers in the Fall and Winter on both Hornby and Denman Islands. These groups are spaces to meet our counsellors and Family Support Workers, connect with community members, and learn about and practice parenting skills and strategies.
